Cameralands flash new Magento store goes live!

Cameraland are a proud Cardiff based retail outlet with a focus on brilliant customer service. After looking for a local web design company who could provide them with a flashy e-commerce store with Amazon-like functionality, Cameraland found us. Take a look at what we did for them…

We used open-source platform Magento to build the ecommerce store which could give Cameraland the look and feel of a big brand retail outlet.

To give Cameraland an online as well as a local customer service angle, we added ‘Cardiff’ to the logo to emphasize its locale. Content and tone was extremely important to us in order to convey a local as well as professional e-commerce store; we worked closely with our client in order to ensure each static page was clear, user friendly and easy to understand. We wanted to create an experience that would work to make visitors feel that they could turn to Cameraland staff for advice and even help in picking out their perfect camera.

The site has some cool additional functions such as a wishlist, advanced search options and promotional offers, which were added to heighten the UX that is now synonymous with online shopping. We wanted to provide visitors everything that they would need to keep them engaged and more likely to purchase from it as well as give them a reason to return in the future.

With usability and functionality at the forefront of the stores design, we have undoubtedly given Cameraland an online store that wouldn’t look out of place next to high end retailers.

The Client is thrilled and we couldn’t be happier to have given Cameraland a helping hand with their first steps into the ecommerce market.
