Blog

Following on from our blog on Coderdojos, we’ve stumbled upon another great coding incentive that’s entirely free and accessible to anyone with an interest in building web pages, games, apps and software…

Codecademy is a web based tuition programme that takes the user through ‘tracks’ including JavaScript, Python, Ruby and Jquery, these are a series of courses grouped together to help the user master a particular topic or language of code. The user can track their progress and earn badges to reward their advancement through the short interactive courses.

The great thing about Codecademy is its accessibility, it’s not hard to use, nor is it aimed at any particular age range;  a user need only their computer and an internet connection to get on the path to building great websites, games and apps.
