The Background
Bedrooms Athletics have been making luxury slippers and beautiful bedtime wear since 2007. Their mission of ‘ban boring bedwear’ and to make feeling comfortable at home a beautiful experience is still very much in force today. They believe strongly that you can be comfortable and comforted without sacrificing style.
The Brief
Switching over from Magento 2 to Shopify whilst improving the user experience and aesthetics was the main requirement. Improved integration with TradeGecko and other key business systems was also critical to making the move to Shopify a success.

The Approach
When moving from Magento to Shopify it allowed us to use the already generous array of functionality and features without migrating existing content. This gave BA the opportunity to review and update all the content on the new store and load it into their new and shiny online shop. Building in fresh connectivity to Xero and TradeGecko, in particular, was a massive win for the team to help with productivity.
Design + UX
The overall strategy for the redesign of the new store was to elevate the brand by using great lifestyle and product photography to the fullest whilst creating a memorable and clean interface. This included; clear navigation with engaging call to actions whilst maintaining a focus on ease of use throughout the decision making process to checkout was important.
An added layer of customisation
Shopify has its restrictions in some respects to being a closed-codebase, so we delved deep into creating a number of bespoke solutions. One major part of this customisation allows Bedroom Athletics to show products that are 'split by colour' on each category page, this has helped improve the customer journey by offering the users a simpler, visual-based selection of all products available without further clicks.
