The Background
Griggs's journey began in 1970 where he started distributing animal health products to local farmers at competitive prices alongside managing his own farm. By 1979 they had opened a shop and in the following years, it doubled in size adding clothing, equestrian and agricultural products to its catalogue.
The Brief
To migrate the Griggs site onto Magento 2 and with the use of banners to maximise the space along with easy to use menus for customers. To provide a smoother customer experience on the website including easier checkout processes giving an overall quicker experience.
This project was delivered by our Magento development team based in Cardiff and Exeter.

The Approach
Using Magento 2 we developed a brand new site that focuses on maximising space, brand awareness and faster product searches. We have customised the new site to allow the Griggs branding to shine through whilst improving on the customer journey allowing a faster website experience.
Design and UX
With the main focus of the brief being mobile friendly and for a mixed target audience we had to make the site very slick and accessible for a wide scope of users we achieved this by keeping a closed monochrome palette; along with clear and concise banners and 'call to actions' whilst giving the elements significant space for ease of interaction. We wanted to emphasise the imagery used on the site as they are of high quality and a well-known calibre of brands; using large promotional areas, particularly on the homepage to attract the user.
Multistore front highlight
Magento 2’s Multi-store functionality allows Griggs to run 3 separate shops all under 1 roof. The multi-store functionality allows different domains to operate under the same Magento store, perfect for a business that has multiple markets.

A Smooth Solution
A new bespoke multi storefront setup was all part of the service for Griggs. We’ve worked closely with them to ensure all 3 stores look and feel exactly how they visioned and continue to work alongside them to implement new features as their store grows. Faster, simplified search features were a focus for Griggs and using Klevu in their Magento site we’ve given Griggs customers an artificially intelligent search to speed up locating products.
