Background
Abundance + Health have a simple mission: cut through the noise of an overcrowded wellness industry to provide products that improve people’s quality of life.
Founded with a passion for evidence-based wellness, they specialise in premium nutritional supplements that support real, measurable results — from energy and immunity to skin health and healthy ageing.
They work with world-leading laboratories and expert practitioners to develop cutting-edge formulations that combine clinical insight, premium ingredients, and next-generation delivery systems, including advanced liposomal encapsulation from LET pioneers LivOn Labs.
Brief
Our brief was to conduct a full review of the X Shopify Plus store and deliver strategic recommendations to improve site speed, SEO performance, and UX. We were asked to audit their existing apps to identify opportunities for cost savings and functionality improvements, particularly around their subscription offering; now that this functionality is available natively within Shopify.
Any theme updates also needed to consider the impact on multiple B2B audiences, as well as the various languages supported across the store’s multilingual setup.
With a growing backlog of development tasks and frequent queries from their customer service team, we were also asked to get up to speed and provide ongoing support to resolve website issues and assist where needed.
This project was delivered by our shopify development team based in Cardiff and Exeter.

Our Approach
We began by focusing on site speed improvements. We implemented SpeedSize to allow the A+H marketing team to use larger imagery and video across all store views without compromising performance. In addition, we updated the theme to reduce redundant fonts and improve overall efficiency.
We also identified and resolved several issues within the translations and HTML structure, including missing alt tags and an inconsistent heading hierarchy.
With the foundations addressed, we moved on to reviewing the apps. We conducted a comprehensive comparison of leading subscription apps against Shopify’s native functionality, enabling the team to make a more informed decision on their app choice moving forward.
Adobe Commerce (Magento)
