Privacy Policy

At Big Eye Deers, we are committed to protecting your privacy. When you request information from us, we obtain information about you. We use the information we collect about you to process enquiries and provide a greater customer service experience.

We have a legal obligation under the Data Protection Act 1998 to prevent your information becoming victim of a breach in security. We must also ensure that the data we hold is accurate, adequate, relevant and not excessive. This privacy statement explains what personal data Big Eye Deers collects from you and how we use it.

The type of Personal Information we store

When personal information is collected from you we will make it clear what information we require in order to provide you with the information, services or goods you need. No further information needs to be shared unless you choose to share it.

The only personal information we require from you is a name and surname; whereby the business has its own postal address, and contact info including a business email. When this information is not business related, i.e. a business email account hasn’t yet been created, we will collect and store additional personal information but never more than an email address, postal address, and a telephone/mobile number.

Any personal information held by Big Eye Deers will have been disclosed by yourself. We do not outsource lead generation or search the web collecting personal details of business personnel or others.

Personal information under GDPR

We process personal data under the legal GDPR basis of legitimate interest.

Personal information is collected and stored once a business person reaches out to enquire about our services and proceeds to use them. We use your information for the purpose of:

• Identifying a project lead(s) on behalf of the business.
• Maintaining business conversations.
• Project completion.
• In the unlikely event of a serious issue that could harm client businesses we require methods of contact suitable for outside business hours.
• Driving business growth with particular website advice and suggestions.

We store personal information securely on our computer systems. Restricting access to those who have a need to know, and for staff who need to know we train them in handling the information securely.

Disclosing your information

We may pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we have to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements, i.e. debt collection services for unpaid invoices. This includes exchanging information with government departments for legal reasons.

In connection with the data uses described above, we may share your information with third party softwares or programs. This means sharing your information with:

• Harvest, as a means of processing your payment and conducting fraud prevention
• MailChimp, for the purpose of sending marketing information and latest tech updates
• Teamwork, in order to monitor and track project progress with yourself

We won’t share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites where there is no basis of legitimate interest for you or Big Eye Deers.

Retention Period

There are certain reasons we have to keep hold of your information. We keep information while you're our client or after you've left us, but only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. How long we keep it depends very much on the type of information and purpose.

For example we might need to stop fraud and abuse, sort out disagreements, prove your account existed, or follow any legal obligations. We may also keep information about how you use our products or services. In every case, the duration that we need to keep the information may be different, but we will only keep the information for as long as we need it.

Analytics and Cookies

Through Google Analytics, we collect anonymous information that helps us to improve our website. We use Google Analytics to examine how people interact with our site, gathering information using cookies. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and marketing materials. We cannot and will not use this information to identify you.

Newsletter subscriptions

We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our monthly e-newsletters. We gather statistics to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. If you’ve signed up for email alerts, you can unsubscribe or change your settings at any time by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ link that appears in every email. Alternatively, you can contact Big Eye Deers at any time to tell us not to send you any future marketing material.

Your rights

You have the right to a copy of all the information we hold about you (apart from information which we may be obliged to withhold because they concern other people as well as you). Changes to this privacy policy

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time, so it’s advisable to check it regularly. If our information practices change, we will post the policy changes to our website and will only use data collected from the time of the policy change.
