DJ Tiesto
The DJ Tiesto brand required an online store that delivers on the global merchandising potential of one of the world's biggest DJs.
Brief
The client wanted to use Magento, the market-leading open source eCommerce platform for its Amazon-like levels of functionality so Big Eye Deers accepted the task and went to work on a site that could be a global hub providing full multi-language and multi-currency support.
Design
A state-of-the-art shopping and one-page checkout experience, offering product reviews, tags, cross-selling, advanced search and all the functionality you would expect from a leading e-tailer. The shop would contain a secure platform for digital downloads of any type, (including audio files or documents) with easy API access to the check-out process. It should integrate with chart recording platforms and allow comprehensive sales stats and visitor analytics available at any time from the system control panel. Featuring an IP based language and currency detection it would provide scope for unlimited store views in any language or currency, running from one database and platform, including a password protected ‘in the booth’ store.
Solution
We created a site that automatically assigned orders to multiple distribution centres based on stock levels and automatically updated each site for each country. The design of the site made it easy to run promotions to gain more traffic, with coupon codes easily defined in the back end including percentage discounts, multibuy offers and code/package offers. As the site was fully integrated with facebook we created an app to showcase special offers and product news to fans to increase visitor numbers. Having easy options to add more distribution centres, product types or virtual stores gave the client flexibility and room to adapt whatever future requirements may be. The automated submission to Google Base enabled products to show up in Google shopping searches, which, along with SEO for the landing and product pages, provided a valuable source of low cost organic growth.
