Ahead of the release of Placebo's new EP, the band required a dynamic landing page that would captivate their fans with infomation about the pending release. The bespoke landing page was required to fit seamlessly with the current website, aimed to promote the new EP, and provide a sense of continuity between the different Placebo environments.
The new B3EP landing page was centred around the notion of social sharing and the immersion of the new artwork and audio. We used a large section of the album artwork on the landing page initially that would be swapped to video once the video was released worldwide. The itegration of a custom SoundCloud Player for users to listen to the audio was added, along with bespoke dynamic social sharing tool - B3EP would be promoted organically via its fans. Once the official Youtube video of the track went live we also inbedded this onto the micro-site, users can now listen to the audio, view the video, and by following a simple click through be taken to the main Placebo World site where they can continue browsing the experience.
The B3EP landing page was created with a responsive design to allow for seemless viewing wioth mobile and tablets, we also seamlessly integrated with Placebo's social media campaign and online presence. Having revealed the artwork prior to the page release there was already a buzz around the new track. This was carried further using social media site Twitter and the hashtag #B3KISS which supported the clients online competition driving a significant portion of traffic to the newly created page once it went live. Analytics were incorporated into the micro-site to allow the client to track their traffic and direct users accordingly.
